Here's how to download and install firmware on your "I'm Back film" device:
ATTENTION! DO NOT INSTALL THIS FIRMWARE ON YOUR "I'm Back MF - MEDIUM FORMAT or I'm Back35"
DEVICE AS IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE!

Attention: Do not run out of power during the firmware installation. We recommend connecting the device directly to a power outlet using the USB cable with a charger.

Current Firmware for I’m Back Film (Not New Firmware) – Reinstallation Instructions

I’m posting the current firmware for the I’m Back Film device. If you are experiencing the issue of a “low battery” warning and your device shuts down, you may try reinstalling the firmware using the steps outlined below. However, please note that I cannot guarantee that this will fix the issue, as it is related to a bug that is affecting some devices.

A real solution for this bug will only be available in March, with a new update that will fix the issue permanently.

Reinstallation Steps:

  1. Download the firmware by clicking HERE.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file using a tool compatible with your operating system (Windows or Mac). For Mac users, you can use online services to unzip the file.
  3. The extracted file will be the .BIN, located in your downloads folder.
  4. Format your SD card on your I’m Back Film. Turn off the device, remove the memory card, and insert it into your computer.
  5. Copy the .BIN file to the memory card and safely eject the card from the computer.
  6. Insert the card back into your I’m Back Film and turn on the device. You will see a green loading signal on the screen. Wait until the firmware loading is complete. Once finished, the device will automatically turn off and display the “Welcome to I’m Back” screen. It will then shut off automatically.
  7. You can now turn the device back on, without worrying about the recorded firmware, as it is automatically erased after each installation. No need to format the card again.
  8. Test the device and check if everything is working fine.

Important: Reinstallation may help if you’re experiencing the low battery warning issue, but it is not a guaranteed fix. We are working on a new firmware update that will address this bug, and it will be available in March.
